In Late July, I visited Reading to see the reproduction of the Bayeux Tapestry at the Reading Museum. The tapestry was recreated by a group of women led by Elizabeth Wardle who were inspired to reproduce it after seeing the original in Normandy. It only took them just over a year, although it's over 231 feet long! It is called a tapestry, but actually the design is completely worked in embroidery and not woven.

Thank you for reading about Reading! I'm visiting Sweden in August for a language course. More on that soon!
